Early Years

Welcome to Richard Lee Primary School, it is wonderful that your child will be joining us in September 2021.

We understand that you may have questions related to your child starting school and, at this time, about what school will be like in September. At the moment, we are often awaiting and responding to government updates. However, we want to assure you that we will be doing everything we can to ensure that your child has the smoothest possible start to school.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are striving to share the most up to date information for parents and carers digitally. We hope that the information shared on this page and elsewhere on the school website helps you and your child to feel fully prepared for starting with us. As things move forward and we receive new information from the government we will continue to keep you updated and share the necessary information on this page. Should you have any further queries, please do contact the school office through the email address: administrator@richardlee.coventry.sch.uk

Willows Funding Information

Most children start at Willows in the term after their second birthday. If you meet the government specified criteria, including eligibility for free school meals, you may be able to access 15 hours funded education for your child from the age of two.

Places are also available for 3 year olds, in their pre-nursery year. All 3 year olds are entitled to 15 hours funded education each week (from the term after their third birthday), or for eligible working families, there are 30 hour places available.

Willows also provides care to children whose parents do not receive funding and parents using 15 hour funding can top-up their funded sessions by paying for additional hours. The sessions run from 8.45-11.45 & 12.15-3.15 and cost £15 per session. There is a daily lunch club, which is a 'paid for' service at £4.00 a session. This can be booked when your child has settled into Willows, according to availability.
