Year 2 Live Session - Tuesday 2nd March
At 9.30am on Tuesday 2nd March, we will be hosting a live session for all children in Year 2.
It is really important that you follow all of the instructions to ensure your child can access the meeting.
Logging in to Microsoft Teams - For the First Time
Your child will be sent their Microsoft Teams login details via Firefly. They will need to follow the following instructions before joining the meeting on Tuesday.
You need to either download Microsoft Teams on a tablet or mobile device and login using your child's Microsoft Teams login details - these will be sent via Firefly You will be asked to choose a new password - please remember this as we will not be able to reset your password before Tuesday's session. If you can't download the app, you can access the Microsoft Teams app through Chrome or Safari by visiting https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-teams/log-in . However, you will not be able to see multiple screen's if you access through Chrome or Safari - we recommend downloading the app or the desktop app.
Children will not be able to access the live session without logging into their Microsoft Teams account first. After you have logged in, you can then 'Join the meeting' by following the instructions below.
Joining Tuesday's Meeting
1) Children will receive an invite to the meeting via Firefly. This will appear by Monday at the latest to allow you time to practise before Tuesday's meeting. Children must be logged in to the Teams app or website before clicking this. This is really important - if you don't do this, you will not be allowed in to the meeting.
Click the link in the Firefly task to join the meeting after logging in to Teams.
2) If you have the Teams app, you will be asked whether you want to 'Open Microsoft Teams' (recommended). If you don't have the Microsoft Teams app, select 'Continue on this browser' (however, you must have logged in to your account first).
3) You will be 'in the lobby' until a teacher lets you in just before 9.30am. We will not allow anyone to join the meeting as a 'guest' so you must log in to the Microsoft Teams website or app before clicking the link to join the meeting.
