Parents As Partners

Welcome to our Parents as Partners section.

Engaging Parents and Carers to Create Better Lives and Futures for Families

The work of Professor Charles Desforges tells us that at the age of seven parental influence on children’s learning is six times that of the school, and by the age of eleven it is still a third greater. Working effectively with parents and carers to help them to support their children’s learning and development is crucial, right through from Nursery to Year 6.

Parent View Questionnaire

Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about your child’s school, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. The survey can be completed at any time; you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.

What are we doing and why?

All staff warmly welcome opportunities to meet with parents and carers to share celebrations, discuss strategies to support emotional well being and to enable children to make the best progress possible and develop a life long love of learning.

We have our staff in the office to give that first welcome and immediate support. Mrs Keilloh, Mrs Barnett , Mrs Tolley and Mrs Skehlon are always happy to help, our School Business Manager Mrs Eccles is also available in the office to advise and ensure visitors, parents, carers and children have a friendly, informative welcome on entering the school.

  • Mrs Brammer our Head teacher and our Deputy Head teacher Mrs Stafford are always happy to arrange a time to meet with families.

  • Our Family Support Worker Mrs Dhadda, and our Learning Mentor Ms Joyce are available to meet with parents.
  •  Mrs Harteveld is always happy to offer support and advice regarding special educational needs, accessibility, behaviour, sign posting to other members of the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Team.
